Ingredients
  • 150 g (1 heaping cup) Apple, cored and roughly chopped
  • 1 ½ cups (160g) Old fashioned oats
  • ½ cup (60g) Pecans or almonds
  • ½ cup (100g) Dates without pips
  • 1 tablespoon Ground flax seed
  • 2 tablespoon Nut butter of your choice (I used peanut butter)
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon
  • pinch of sea salt
  • ½-1 cup Desiccated coconut, for rolling
Instructions
  1. Place the nuts in a food processor and blend on high until they are broken down to small pieces or the texture you like. Add the apple and blend until it is finely minced. Add the rest of the ingredients (except the coconut) and blend until well combined.
  2. Let the mixture rest for 10 minutes to thicken. If your mixture is too wet to form into balls, all a little more oats and let them rest for another 10 minutes.

  3. Scoop out about 1 tablespoon and roll into balls. Coat them in coconut and place or a baking sheet or plate and place the fridge for at least 1 hour to set. Once set, place the bliss balls in the an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
