These Chocolate cherry bliss balls is a great energy boosting snack that is super easy to make and full of chocolate and cherry flavour. All you need are just a few pantry ingredients.

Ingredients
  • ¼ cup (35g) dried cherries
  • ¼ cup (40g) dates, pitted
  • ½  cup boiling water
  • ½  cup (80 g) almonds
  • 2 ½ tablespoons (20 g) rolled oats
  • 2 ½ tablespoons cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • 1 tablespoon (15g) chia seeds
  • pinch of salt
  • ¼ cups (50g ) dairy free chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
  1. Start by soaking the dates and cherries in hot water for 10 minutes, then drain them well but reserve the water.

  2. Add the almonds and oats to a high speed food processor and mix until it has a coarse flour texture. Add the soaked and drained dates and cherries, the cocoa powder, chia seeds and a pinch of salt.

  3. Blend and scrape down the sides as needed until all the ingredients come together. Add a little of the reserved soaking water for it to come together if needed.

  4. Stir in the optional chocolate chips if desired.

  5. Take about 1 tablespoon and roll into balls. Let them set in the fridge for about 20 min then store them in an airtight container.
