Grilled Shrimp with Avocado Crema

Ingredients
  • 500 g shrimp, peeled and deveined
Marinade
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon chopped cilantro or basil
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1-2 teaspoon cayenne pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ pepper
Avocado crema
  • 1 large avocado
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 deciliter, 0,4 cups, greek yoghurt
  • 1 deciliter, 0,4 cups, basil, packed
  • 1 small clove of garlic, minced
  • salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Shrimp
  1. Mix all the ingredients for the marinade and mix with the shrimp. Let marinade for 30 minutes in the fridge.

    If you are using wooden skewers, soak them in water while the shrimp marinades.

Avocado crema
  1. While the shrimp is marinading, make the avocado creme. Place all the ingredients in a food processor or mixer and blend until smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste. Keep covered in the fridge until serving.

  2. Put the shrimp on skewers and grill on medium heat for about ½-2 minutes on each side, depending on size of the shrimp. 

    Serve immediately with the avocado crema and enjoy!
