If you love shrimp, you are going to love this Grilled Shrimp with Avocado Crema recipe! It is a healthy, quick and easy recipe that is absolutely delicious. Flavorful, juicy grilled shrimp dipped in a cool and creamy avocado crema.
Warmer weather, longer days and grill season is here! Sure you can grill all year, but it just isn’t quite the same. There is something magical about those summer barbecues. Growing up in northern Sweden, we treasured the summer and the light summer nights and grilling was off corse, a given!

- 500 g shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 limes, juiced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoon chopped cilantro or basil
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 1-2 teaspoon cayenne pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- ½ pepper
- 1 large avocado
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 deciliter, 0,4 cups, greek yoghurt
- 1 deciliter, 0,4 cups, basil, packed
- 1 small clove of garlic, minced
- salt and pepper to taste

Mix all the ingredients for the marinade and mix with the shrimp. Let marinade for 30 minutes in the fridge.
If you are using wooden skewers, soak them in water while the shrimp marinades.

While the shrimp is marinading, make the avocado creme. Place all the ingredients in a food processor or mixer and blend until smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste. Keep covered in the fridge until serving.

Put the shrimp on skewers and grill on medium heat for about ½-2 minutes on each side, depending on size of the shrimp.
Serve immediately with the avocado crema and enjoy!
