These Roasted Plums are one of the easiest ways to turn fresh plums into a delicious dessert or breakfast. The plums are roasted with a drizzle of honey and a little cinnamon until soft and caramelized around the edges, and the juices create a naturally sweet sauce.

Ingredients
  • 6-8 plums, quartered and pits removed
  • 3 tablespoon honey or maple syrup, plus extra for serving
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) Place parchment paper or butter a baking dish with edges.

  2. Quarter large plums (small in half) and remove the pips.
Place on the plums in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup, and dust with a little cinnamon.

  3. Roast for about 15-20 minutes or until the plums are tender and juicy, with caramelized edges and plenty of syrupy juices in the bottom of the pan. The time depends on the ripeness and size of the plums.

Serve with yoghurt or ice cream, some chopped nuts and a drizzle of honey or maple syrup.
