Maple Tahini Dressing

September 30, 2024 by Helena Leave a Comment

This homemade Maple Tahini Dressing is super creamy and loaded with flavor. It is super easy and fast to make, with just a few ingredients. This healthy dressing has a hint of sweetness from the maple syrup that is perfectly balanced with some lemon juice. It is also vegan and gluten-free. One of my favourite dressings!

This creamy homemade tahini maple syrup dressing tastes great with any salad, pasta salad or as a dip to vegetable sticks. Super easy and fast to make with just a few ingredients.

Homemade dressings from scratch are easy to make and way healthier than the store bough variety. Making your own dressing gives you the opportunity to adjust the flavours to fit your taste. And it is super easy too! Another one of my favourite home-made dressings is this Sun dried tomato vinaigrette.

Taste and add more salt, pepper or maple syrup to taste. Stir in some optional sesame seeds.

Hint: Depending on the quality and thickness of the tahini, less or more water will be needed. Add it a little at a time and stir well before adding more. The tahini dressing will become creamier the more you stir it.

Substitutions and variations

Making your own, homemade dressing gives you the opportunity to adjust the flavours to fit your tastebuds, and it is super fast and easy too!

  • Spicy – for a spicy maple tahini sauce, add a little hot chili flakes or a few dashes of tabasco to taste.
  • Lemon juice – Can be replaced with vinegar, either red wine, white wine, or apple cider vinegar. You can also make this into a lime tahini dressing by using lime juice instead of the lemon juice.
  • Herbs – add some fresh chopped herbs like parsley, cilantro or basil to make a basil tahini dressing.

Add this delicious creamy tahini dressing to any salad or a bean salad like this delicious Chickpea tahini salad.

Storage

Store any leftovers of this lemon tahini dressing in an airtight container. It will last in the fridge for up to one week and makes a great meal prep for the week.

Top tip

This maple tahini dressing tastes great with any salad or drizzled over some roasted or grilled seasonal vegetables. It can also be served as a dip with vegetable sticks, I would leave out the water, to have a thicker consistency.
