Avocado Green Goddess Dressing

May 16, 2025 by Helena Leave a Comment

This Avocado Green Goddess Dressing is creamy and loaded with flavor. The perfect dressing for any salad or served as a dip with vegetable sticks. Super easy and fast to make with just a few ingredients.

The dressing in a small jar surrounded by avocado and herbs.

Homemade dressings are easy to make and healthier than the store bough kind, just like this Maple Tahini Dressing. Making your own dressing gives you the opportunity to blend the flavours to your taste, and it is super easy too. It can also be served as a green goddess dip served with some vegetables sticks just like this Lemon Dill Hummus.

This dressing loaded with bold flavours. It is a little tangy from the lemon juice and yoghurt. It also has a lovely freshness from the herbs that pack a lot of flavor in this dressing.

Substitutions and Variations

  • Vegan – To make this avocado green goddess dressing vegan, use a vegan greek style yoghurt.
  • Avocado – Instead of a fresh avocado, frozen avocado also works well. Let it defrost before adding to tis dressing.
  • Herbs – use a mix of herbs of your liking, basil, parsley, cilantro and dill are good options.
  • Garlic – If you are a garlic lover, add more garlic to taste! The fresh garlic can also be replaced with a little garlic powder.

Top Tip

For a creamy and smooth dressing, Use a ripe avocado that is soft. Scape down the sides of the blender as needed. Roughly chop the herbs and garlic to help the blender along if it is not a high speed blender.
