Yoghurt Chocolate Cherry Popsicles

June 29, 2018 by Helena 2 Comments

It is ice cream season and cherry season, mix in a little chocolate and you got my all time favorite season! These Yoghurt Chocolate Cherry Popsicles are healthy, delicious and easy to make.

While cherries are in season I use fresh ones but you could use frozen ones as well, just defrost them before using them in this recipe.

These Yoghurt Chocolate Cherry Popsicles are healthy, delicious and easy to make.

Servings: 8 Popsicles
Ingredients
  • 600 g cherries, pitted
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 3 deciliter, 1 ¼ Cups, Greek yoghurt
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • ¼ vanilla powder
  • 100 g dark chocolate, chopped
Instructions
  1. In a bowl mix together the yoghurt with the maple syrup and vanilla. Blend the cherries with the lemon juice in a food processor until finely chopped and juicy.

  2. Fill the ice cream molds with half the cherry mixture, then the yoghurt and top off with the rest of the cherries. Insert a popsicle stick and gently swirl it around to create a marble pattern. Cover and freeze for a minimum of 6 hours until completely set.

  3. To remove the popsicles from the molds, run the sides of the mold under warm water. Be careful not to get any water into the mold.

  4. Melt the chocolate in the microwave for 30 second on hight heat, stir and if needed heat for an additional 30 seconds until melted.

Drizzle the popsicles with the chocolate and serve immediately or freeze in an airtight container wrapped in parchment paper.

    Enjoy!
