Ingredients for this Peach Blueberry Smoothie
Making a healthy smoothie is really easy and only requires a few ingredients.
For the full ingredient measurements, scroll down to view the recipe card at the bottom of the page.
- Frozen banana, peeled and sliced
- Frozen peaches, pips removed and chopped into small pieces. The sweeter and riper your peaches, the sweeter and smoother your smoothie will be.
- Frozen blueberries, I like to use small, organic blueberries, they have more flavour.
- Milk of your choice, I like using unsweetened almond milk in my smoothies. Other great non daily options are oat milk or soy milk.
- Chia seeds optional, but highly recommended. Mixing in some chia seeds in your blueberry peach smoothie, gives it a creamy texture and adds more nutrients.
- Maple syrup or honey (optional) Depending on the sweetness of your fruit and berries you might want to add a little sweetener. Taste the blueberry peach banana smoothie first, and then add sweetener if needed.

Add all the ingredients to a high speed blender.
Process until smooth, if the mixture is too thick add a little more milk. Scrape down the sides as needed.

Hint: Taste the smoothie and add a little hone or maple syrup if needed. It all depends of how sweet and ripe your fruit is.
Substitutions and Variations
- Vegan – Use a plant based milk, like almond or oat milk. I always use unsweetened.
- Peaches – Instead of peaches, other stone fruit like nectarines or apricots, can be used.
- Oats – Add a few tablespoons of oat flour to the smoothie before blending or a more filling smoothie.

How to store smoothies
Smoothies are generally best directly when they are made. But you can also keep any leftovers or make a double batch for the next day.
My top tips for keeping a smoothie fresh for longer is to store it in a glass container with an airtight lid. Also important is to fill the container to the very top! This will prevent air to enter and with that unwanted oxidation that will affect the nutrients and also the color of your smoothies. Since this smoothie contains banana, it will go a little brown when stored. Another option is to add a squeeze of lemon juice to your smoothie, this will help keep it fresh and tasty for the next day.
Generally, smoothies keep for 1-2 days in the fridge if stored correctly. You will need to stir it well since a smoothie tend to separate when stored. Always smell it to make sure it is still fresh before drinking.
Top tip
Use a high power blender to make this blueberry peach smoothie smooth and creamy. Another tip is to let the fruit defrost for a few minutes before you blending, makes it easier to mix.
