This Clementine Chocolate Vegan Smoothie is packed healthy ingredients as well as oats and chia seeds to keep you full longer. A creamy and delicious start to your day or even as a snack or dessert!
If clementines aren’t in season you can also use about 2 small oranges for this recipe. Use hight quality unsweetened cocoa powder for that intense chocolate flavour! Here I have also topped the smoothie with a little melted chocolate for an extra flavour, this it optional.
Ingredients: (Full recipe below)
- Oats
- Chia seeds
- Bananas
- Clementines peeled and slices, seeds removed
- Yoghurt of your choice preferably with a thick consistency
- Almond milk
- Unsweetened cacao powder
- Ice
- optional maple syrup for sweetning
Instructions:
- Start by adding the oats and chia seeds to a high speed blender. Blend until the oats have a corse sand consistency. Then add the rest of the ingredients except for the cocoa powder and the ice. Start with half the milk and then add more as needed.
- Mix until it has a smooth consistency, then add the ice and extra almond milk if needed. Taste and add maple syrup if desired.
- Pour half the smoothie in 1 large, or 2 smaller glasses. Add the cacao powder to the remaining smoothie and mix until fully incorporated. Pour on top of the first layer and serve immediately.

- 2 tablespoon chia seeds
- 2 bananas
- 4-5 clementines peeled and slices, seeds removed
- ½ cup yoghurt of your choice preferably with a thick consistency
- ½-1 cup almond milk
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cacao powder
- ice
- optional maple syrup for sweetning
