Super cute Reindeer toast that is east and fast to make and will become your kids new favorite snack or breakfast for the holidays.
All you need is just a few simple pantry staples to make this Reindeer toast. Use your favorite bread. Here I used white bread as a “canvas” for this reindeer toast.
I made these toast with all natural peanut butter, but feel free to use any nut butter of your liking. I have a recipe for a homemade Pecan Almond Butter that would also taste amazing with this toast. Or use sunflower seed butter if you are allergic to nuts.
I used nutella to make the mouth, but melted chocolate or jam can also be used. Kids love helping making these toast, let them get creative! I love cooking and baking with the kids, and they love it too. This is an easy project for them to make.
Ingredients
- Sandwich bread, I used 2 white and 2 wheat slices
- Peanut butter, or any nut butter of your choice
- Pretzels, to make the horns of this cute reindeer
- Raspberries, for the red Rudolf nose. A strawberry or a red M&M can also be used.
- Blueberries, or M&M can also be used to make the eyes.
- Nutella, or melted chocolate for the smile.
Instructions
Start by lightly toasting the bread. Cut out 2 ovals from two of the pieces of the bread.
Spread out the peanut butter in a large circle on the remaining 2 pieces of toast. Place the cutout oval on top as seen in the photo. Decoare with blueberries as eyes, pretzels as horns and the raspberry as a red nose.
Let your kids help make these and get creative!
Substitutions and variations
- Gluten free – Make this breakfast gluten-free by using a gluten free sandwich bread.
- Allergy friendly – Use sunflower seed butter or other nut free spread and melted chocolate or jam instead of Nutella. Also make sure the bread is nut free.
- Bread – Use any bread of your liking, or that you have in the pantry to make these Reindeer toasts.
