This creamy Peach and Cherry Smoothie combines two of my favourite summer fruits. It is vegan, healthy and really easy to make with only 4 ingredients!
The peach and cherry flavours go so well together. This healthy smoothie is super fast and easy to make as a breakfast or snack. Enjoy in the summer months when stone fruits are in season, or all year round. Another of my favourite smoothies is this Peach Blueberry Smoothie.
I like to freeze the fruit when at it’s peak. Then just pop it out of your freezer to make delicious smoothies, or healthy nice cream like this Cherry Banana Nice Cream or a Strawberry Banana Smoothie for a refreshing summer treat.

Ingredients
The measurements and full instructions can be found in the recipe card at the bottom of the post, this is just a summary of the process.
- Frozen banana, sliced
- Frozen peaches, chopped
- Almond milk, or other dairy free milk to keep this smoothie vegan. Or regular milk can be used for non vegan.
- Frozen cherries, pitted
Instructions:
Add the banana, peach and almond milk in a blender and process until smooth. Pour ⅔ of the peach smoothie into two glasses.
Add the cherries to the remaining smoothie and process until smooth. If the mixture is too thick add a little more almond milk. Pour the cherry smoothie layer into the glasses and serve immediately. Decorate the glasses with a cherry if desired. Enjoy!
For full written instructions, see the recipe card at the bottom.
Hint, the two layered smoothie is optional, you can also add the cherries with the rest of the frozen fruit at the beginning.
Substitutions and variations
- Vegan – For a vegan smoothie, use a plant-based milk like almond or oat milk.
- Peaches – Instead of peaches, other stone fruit like nectarines or apricots, can be used.
- Rolled oats – For a thicker consistency and more filling smoothie, add 4 tablespoons of rolled oats to this peach and cherry smoothie before blending.
Add ins:
- Vanilla extract – A hint of vanilla tastes great with the peach and cherry combo. Add 1 teaspoon with the rest of the ingredients. taste great in here, a teaspoon goes a long way.
- Chocolate chips – for some specks of chocolate. Make sure the chocolate is chopped up fine enough to not get stuck in your straw when driving it.
- Protein powder – For an extra boost of protein, add 2 tablespoons of vanilla protein powder and a little extra milk.
- Nut butter – Mix in 2 tablespoons of your favourite nut butter for some extra protein and flavor. One of my favourites is this Homemade Pecan Almond Butter.
- Chia seeds – Mixing in some chia seeds in your cherry peach smoothie, gives it a creamy texture and adds more nutrients.
- Maple syrup – for a sweeter smoothie. Depending on the sweetness of your fruit, you might want to add a little sweetener.
Top Tips:
Use ripe fruit: This smoothie does not have any added sugar to it so all the sweetness comes from the fruit. Make sure to use a really ripe banana that is sweet and creamy, you want those brown spots!
Sweetness: If you like your smoothie sweeter, or your fruit wasn’t quite ripe, just add a little maple syrup into your blender.
Layers: I have made this smoothie into two layers, this is totally optional and you can just blend all the ingredients together.
Freeze fruit and berries when in season: When they are in season they are so sweet and often more affordable. Freeze them at their peak and enjoy for longer. Just pop it out of your freezer to make this delicious peach and cherry smoothie.
How to store smoothes:
Smoothies are generally best directly when they are made. But you can also keep any leftovers or make a double batch for the next day.
My top tips for keeping a smoothie fresh for longer is to store it in a glass container with an airtight lid. Also important, is to fill the container to the very top! This will prevent air to enter, and with that unwanted oxidation that will affect the nutrients and also the color of your smoothies. Since this smoothie contains bananas, it will go a little brown when stored. Another option is to add a squeeze of lemon or lime juice to your smoothie, this will help keep it fresh and tasty for the next day.
Generally, smoothies keep for 1-2 days in the fridge if stored correctly. Always smell it to make sure it is still fresh before drinking!
