Cherry chocolate cups filled with naturally sweetened cherry chia jam. Because cherry and chocolate are best buds! ?+?=?

You can use frozen cherries for this recipe, brings a little summer feel to the holiday season. Impress your friends with homemade candy with all natural ingredients.

Dark Chocolate Cherry Cups

Ingredients needed to make these Dark Chocolate Cherry Cups:

  • Dark chocolate, It is important to choose a good quality chocolate for this cherry chocolates recipe, one that you enjoy. I prefer 60 or 70% but go with your favourite.
  • Coconut oil
  • Cherry chia jam, I filled these cherry chocolates with a delicious Cherry Chia Jam, this time of year frozen cherries works great! If you can’t find cherries frozen raspberries works well for this recipe as well.
  • optional topping, freeze dried raspberries

How to make these Cherry chocolates:

Line a mini muffin tray with 16 paper liners.

In a microwaveable bowl add half the chocolate and 1 teaspoon coconut oil. Microwave on hight for 30 seconds and then stir. If the chocolate is not melted all the way, microwave for another 30 seconds then stir again.

Divide the chocolate in the muffin liners and push it up the edges a little to form a chocolate bowl.

Place the chocolate it in the freezer for 15 min, then fill them with about 1 teaspoon cherry chia jam and freeze again for another 15 minutes.

Melt the remaining chocolate and coconut oil like before. Spoon over the chia jam to cover completely. Top with the freeze dried rasberries (optional) and place back in the freezer for 15 minutes or until firm. Store in the fridge or freezer.

Enjoy!
