This strawberry peach mango smoothie tastes great on a hot summer day when strawberries and peaches are in season. But it can also be made all year round using frozen fruit and berries.

For other great summer smoothie recipes, check out my Peach Blueberry Smoothie or this Watermelon Smoothie.

Step 3: Pour the smoothie into 2 glasses and serve immediately. Decorate the glasses with a slice of peach and strawberries if desired.

Hint: Use a high power blender for a smooth and creamy peach smoothie. Another tip is to let the fruit defrost for a few minutes before you blending, makes it easier for the blender to mix.

Substitutions and Variations

  • Vegan – For a vegan smoothie, use a plant based milk, like almond or oat milk.
  • Peaches – Instead of peaches replace with other stone fruit like nectarines or apricots.
  • Strawberries – the strawberries can be replaced with any other berry of choice, blueberries or raspberries are two good choices.
  • Oats – Add a 2 tablespoons of quick cooking oats to the blender with the other ingredient for or a more filling smoothie.
  • Protein – Add a little of your favourite protein powder to the blender. You might have to add a little extra liquid if it gets too thick.

For another healthy smoothie with oats, try this Apple Pie Smoothie filled with fall spices and apples.

Equipment

You will need a bender to make this strawberry mango peach smoothie. I use a high power blender to get it really smooth and creamy. A high speed food processor will also work, but the texture might not be as smooth.

Storage

Smoothies always taste best and have the highest nutrients directly when they are made. But you can also keep any leftovers, or make a double batch for the next day.

My top tips for keeping a smoothie fresh for longer are:

  • Store it in a glass container with an airtight lid. Also important is to
  • Fill the container to the very top! This will prevent air to enter and with that unwanted oxidation that will affect the nutrients and also the color of your smoothies.
  • Add a squeeze of lemon or orange juice to your smoothie, this will help keep it fresh and tasty for the next day.
  • Stir the smoothie well since it tend to separate when stored.
  • Always smell your stored smoothie to make sure it is still fresh before drinking.

Generally, smoothies keep for 1-2 days in the fridge if stored correctly.

Top tip

Let the frozen fruit defrost for a few minutes, this makes it easier for the blender to mix everything up smooth.

FAQ

Can I make a smoothie without yoghurt?

Yes, this smoothie in made with milk, not yoghurt. It has a creamy consistency from the blended mango. For a dairy free smoothie, use a plant-based milk like almond milk or oat milk.

How to thicken a smoothie

Add a 2 tablespoons of quick cooking oats to the blender with the other ingredients for or a more filling and thicker smoothie. Adding the optional chia seeds will also thicken this mango strawberry and peach smoothie.

Can I use yogurt instead of milk in a smoothie?

Yes you absolutely can. Replace the milk in this smoothie recipe with yoghurt of your choice. This will give a thicker consistency so you might have to add a little water or fruit juice to desired thickness.
