Flourless Strawberry Banana Brownies

May 21, 2019 by Helena Leave a Comment

These healthy banana brownies with added strawberries are a delicious chocolate treat without the guilt! They’re gluten free, oil and butter free, and refined sugar free.

These brownies are sweetened with chia strawberry jam and banana. The fruity flavor really complements the dark chocolate flavor.

In this recipe I used my homemade Strawberry Chia Jam

It is so easy to make and I keep a big jar of it in the fridge and just it in baking, on pancakes, chia pudding, toast and any where you would use regular jam. But I promise you this is so much healthier and even tastier then normal jam. It comes together quick and easy and you only need 3 ingredients!

Flourless Strawberry Banana Brownies

These Healthy banana brownies with strawberries are easy to make, these are the ingredients you will need:

  • Large banana, mashed (reserve 5-6 slices for topping)
  • Nut butter (almond or peanut butter works well)
  • Strawberry chia jam
  • Egg, I use organic (for vegan, use 1 chia egg)
  • Vanilla paste or vanilla extract
  • Baking soda
  • Cacao powder, unsweetened
  • for topping, 2-3 sliced strawberries, 2 tablespoon chocolate chips and banana slices
  1. Preheat oven and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add the mashed banana, strawberry chia jam, peanut butter, egg and vanilla paste and mix until smooth and well blended. Sift in the cacao and baking soda and gently mix in using a spatula.
  3. Pour the batter in prepared pan and spread it out in an even layer using the spatula. Top with strawberry and banana slices and chocolate chips if desired.
  4. When the brownies are done, let them cool down before removing them from the pan. Cut into pieces and serve with fresh strawberries and whipped cream or eat as is. Enjoy!
